BIOGRAPHY
Jadakiss (born Jason Phillips) became a member of the Ruff Ryders in 1999. Five years earlier, he joined the LOX (who started their saga as a group called the Warlocks) and has remained a member of both groups since. Jadakiss released his debut solo album, Kiss tha Game Goodbye, in August 2001 on the Ruff Ryders/Interscope label. Three years later, second album Kiss of Death was released. In March 2005, P. Diddy, Remy Martin, the Game, Swizz Beatz, Pitbull, Pete Rock, Common , Rah Digga, Kwame and Just Blaze were among those who came out to represent the 'hood at the Mixtape Awards in Manhattan where Jadakiss received two nods of approval. Kiss won in two of the major categories: Best Mixtape of the Year for The Champ Is Here and Mixtape Artist of the Year. Whether it's on mixtapes, appearing on The LOX brethren's solo album or guest spots, the streets never have to hunt very far for the next scorching Jadakiss verse. The past couple of years alone have found him riding shotgun and spitting alongside rap heavyweights that include Nas ("Made You Look (Remix)"), Jennifer Lopez ("Jenny from the Block"), Ghostface ("Run") and Gang Starr ("Rite Where You Stand"). Besides the stand out verses, Jada also caught the acting bug appearing in the feature film Honey with Mekhi Phifer and Jessica Alba, the BET film Ryde or Die with Vivica Fox and Duane Martin as well as appearing on the hit TV show EVE (UPN).
